The Advanced Open Water course is the next step in diving education. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving. These specialties include: deep, night limited visibility, navigation, and Nitrox. Our Advanced Open Water Certification Class is taught by Underwater Unlimited and includes two days of classroom learning and 2 days on a boat in Fort Lauderdale doing dives.

Cost: The course costs $325 and includes all books, materials, and dives. You are required to have mask, snorkel, fins, dive lights, cutting device (dive knife or line cutter), compass, and SMB. After completing the course you will be able to attend all UM Scuba Club trips, including those to sites deeper than 60 ft. This class includes nitrox certification.
