The Advanced Open Water course is the next step in diving education. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving. These specialties include: deep, peak-performance buoyancy, nitrox, underwater navigation, and search and recovery. Our Advanced Open Water Certification Class is taught by Grove Scuba and includes one day of classroom learning, 1 day at Tigertail Lake, and 1 boat trip with a total of 5 dives.

Cost: The course costs $420 and includes all books, materials, and dives. You are required to have cutting device (dive knife or line cutter), compass, and SMB After completing the course you will be able to attend all UM Scuba Club trips, including those to sites deeper than 60 ft.
