Welcome back for another fun year of diving! At this meeting we will be introducing the officers, as well as explaining how the club operates and how you can become a member. Other topics covered will include certification courses and ways to get involved. (No set end-time, meeting will run until everything is finished).
UM Scuba Club
The University of Miami SCUBA Club is a student-run organization of certified divers, including undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni. Member dues are $40 for a semester or $65 for the entire year. Club equipment includes tanks, regulators, wet suits, computers and BCDs. All members receive free equipment rentals!
Members also get to dive at a discounted rate of $35 per two-tank trip!
As long as the weather’s good, UM SCUBA dives nearly every Saturday and Sunday throughout the semester. We typically have both a basic, beginner Open Water dive and a more advanced dive each weekend. The schedule is always subject to change. The club typically visits sites in the Florida Keys, Jupiter, West Palm Beach, and Biscayne Bay ... trips have been made as far north as Gainesville and Orlando and as far south as Key West!
